Robbie Savage Set to Exit Forest Green Rovers as New Manager Search Intensifies

Former professional footballer and ex‑Peterborough United boss Robbie Savage is expected to depart Forest Green Rovers after a brief spell in charge. The club has formally opened discussions about a new manager, and bookmakers have already identified Luke Williams as the leading candidate, listing him at 1/2 odds to take the role. While the exact timing of Savage’s exit remains unconfirmed, the move signals Forest Green’s desire to stabilise after a turbulent period.

Savage, who transitioned from a distinguished playing career to coaching, took the helm at the Gloucestershire side earlier this season. His appointment was initially seen as a bold statement of ambition, but recent results have prompted the board to explore alternatives. The speculation surrounding potential successors has also included National League manager Josh Wright, who has publicly denied any interest in leaving Ebbsfleet United, despite reports that Forest Green sought permission to speak with him.

As the club prepares for a managerial reshuffle, fans and observers will watch closely to see whether Luke Williams, with his proven track record at Peterborough, will step in to guide Forest Green back to stability.
